Oh Wow. I loved the story, I loved the art, I love how the title fit in with the puzzle. Extremely cool and unique for a platformer. I hope this makes frontpage, because it's not everyday something like this gets posted to NG. This should be on the Xbox or something.

There doesn't seem to be any penalty if you run away, and fighting only drains your health. Nobody lives forever. Your best bet is to keep searching for food, you're going to find weapons, med kits and bullets; you won't need any of course. If someone offers you food for an item, just give them what they want, food doesn't go bad or get stolen. This game is hard if you focus only on killing and looting, but easy if you enjoy free food and running away. I liked it a lot.

I rather enjoyed the game

The level of customization and art was very good, and as far as I can tell everything works. However, whenever you do something, you get this barrage of text popping up in the middle of the screen. I could not continue to play because of this. People can play this game without that. Is there anyway of turning that off?

The popup text is only the most important instructions (apart from a tiny bit at the beginning) and it drops off to 2 or 3 messages by level 2 and then is extremely rare (maybe 1 per level) afterwards.
I tried a few different approaches to tutorial instructions but they either scared players away (popup dialogs with detailed instructions) or didn't get read (a little window that slides in from the side with a brief message on it) by the testers. This (fairly ugly) solution was the best compromise I could think of!
Honestly, stick with it through level 2 and you'll hardly see those messages for the rest of the game!

Played this game 3 times from beginning to end.

I thought i be a smartypants and tried site locking my swf, turns out newgrounds serve my swf from uploads.ungrounded.net instead of newgrounds.com so... that blooper.. haha

Hopefully the game shouldnt have a problem loading for you now :)

Even better than 1 & 2

The scarecrow is an awesome addon, I hate that fox. Maybe you should make the scarecrow have a timer, and when it gets to zero, he falls apart or something. That way you still have to make sure the fox doesn't come back. Art is really good, the only thing that is a bother, is that sometimes the popup windows don't go away when you rollaway from something. Keep up the good work!
